The ASA story is driven by a clear need for uniform sailing teaching standards and increased access to sailing activities, the American Sailing Association (ASA) has been the leader in U.S. sailing education for nearly two decades.

The association has grown to include an international network of 300 plus professionally accredited sailing schools. More than 275,000 students have graduated from ASA schools and clubs since 1983. The ASA has formed a strategic partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary which now uses our book, Sailing Fundamentals by Gary Jobson. We were instrumental in establishing national sailing education standards through our work on the National Association of State Boating Law Administrator's Education Committee.

You are charged the amount we are charged by UPS. UPS uses weight, package size and zip to zip to figure your freight cost. Most of our items are shipped from the WEST COAST (90066).

We do ship outside the continental United States to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Canada. We also ship to APO and AFO boxes There may be certain size constraints to an APO/APO/FPO address and if this comes up, we'll let you know. Please place your orders and we will email you the final freight costs and or suggestions to meet your budget and needs- feel free to email us to inquire or make special arrangements, etc. NO TAX

We DO NOT CHARGE sales tax. Only California customers will be charged the appropriate sales tax calculated at checkout.

Your shipping charges are calculated automatically when you check out, the last page you will see will have your total shipping charge calculated before you submit your order. This is done after you furnish your complete shipping address with zip code; our system then determines the shipping cost from the combined weight of your order and distance between your zip code and ours by quickly sending this information to the UPS WEB site to be calculated by them and returned to us in a split second- automatically this amount is added to your final total. You can also determine shipping charges on the first checkout page when you add an item to the cart. The bottom of the cart has a shipping calculator where you enter your zip code and state. This only needs to be done once for the duration of your shopping as the site will remember your entry. As you add items, it will dynamically calculate the new shipping charge.

UPS is our primary shipper.

Please print this page for your records. ASA generally processes orders right away and sends them out within 2-4 business days...It's important to use an email address that you read and provide a phone number you answer in case of any questions or problem.

Unless special circumstances require otherwise, Tracking information is not offered or provided on / for FREE SHIPPING ITEMS and transactions. We are not responsible for Fraud.

Coupons do not count toward special freight pricing such as prices quoted in classifieds, newspapers or posted on certain newsgroups, banners and advertisements authorized or posted by ASA.

*your results will be specific when you check out and you will have the option to cancel at anytime before finalizing a sale...you can cancel anytime after a sale for full and immediate credit...unless we have sent it already. Orders will not be cancelled automatically even if there is a backorder. If we deem an item will take too long, we may cancel it ourselves. You can contact us to cancel it as well so long as it has not shipped.

Refund, Returns and Cancellation Policies:

We stand behind the quality of all our products. You may return any item in its original and unused condition, for any reason, for 30 days after your purchase date. We will gladly issue a gift certificate covering the value of your return that may be used to purchase any item(s), or we will issue you a full refund, MINUS a 20% restocking fee. This 20% restocking fee also applies to all canceled orders initiated by the customer. We will also refund the shipping if we are directly responsible for a shipping error such as sending the wrong merchandise or where we find and agree it to be applicable. We must be informed of this first and item cannot be shipped back without telling us. We may opt to use our own carrier and/or account. Otherwise shipping charges are non-refundable. For exchanges for which there is no error on our part, you will be responsible for paying for shipping both ways. If there's a difference price, we will either charge or credit the difference in price on the exchange.

1. Returns will be honored only if reported within 30 days after receipt. 2. A 20% restocking fee will be assessed on all authorized returns or exchanges. 3. Returns must be in new condition in original box including all product information and warranty cards. 4. Health Codes will not allow any employee to handle soiled items. 5. Any items returned that do not meet these specifications will be returned to you or discarded at no credit. 6. Special orders are non-returnable. 7. Report to carrier any boxes that are damaged within 72 hours. UPS: 800-742-5877, 8. Missing items should be reported within 72 hours of order receipt. 9. Damages thereafter, report to ASA for further claims.

Buyer has 10 days to alert ASA of any concerns, issues or mistakes with regard to shipped material.

Buyer and seller agree to investigate each situation regarding returns with complete and full disclosure in accordance with this and company policy before issuing any refunds, gift certificates etc.
